Interview with DQ Rogers

What drew you to the music industry?

I always been a fan of music since I was young but I would have to say the Hot Boys and Master P.

Who are you inspired by?

My biggest inspiration comes from Curren$y I just always respected how he always kept grinding n stayed the same throughout his journey.

Please explain your creative process.

My Creative process really just has to come to me usually once I’m smoking in deep thought or seeing nice scenery usually inspired to me want to do music.

What’s an average day like for you?

An average day for me is getting to the money , hanging with my close ones n planning how we can attack the industry different from other artist.

Is there a hidden meaning in any of your music?

Not necessarily I just like making music that makes me feel good and can touch others in a way Music touches me.

Do you collaborate with others? What is that process? I have before, we usually send over email or just link up n get a vibe going off each other but both processes work for me

Please discuss how you interact with and respond to fans

I usually interact with fans thru social media or at shows. Show mad love n always let them know they are appreciated when I’m approached by such.

What is your favorite part about this line of work? Your least favorite? Why?

My favorite part about this line of work is traveling . My least favorite is when deadlines are not met when planned.

Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?

Nah I’ve been a tad bit nervous but one the beat drop I kick into overdrive n give best show I can give

Tell me about your favorite performance venues.

The varsity theater in Baton Rouge where I currently reside . I had one of my tightest shows there .

To be you as much as possible n don’t let it get to you cause some will love it and others won’t but long as your happy that’s what matters
