Interview with Dangerous Rob

What drew you to the music industry?

I started in the hallway in High School as a battle rapper and dudes would gather around like it was fight and that`s when I realized I had a gift to be an artist and be in the music industry.

Who are you inspired by?

I am inspired by my mother Myrtis Daniels (Rest Well Moms)

Please explain your creative process?

I let the music talk to me and once I come up with an idea I write about 6 or 7 verses and decide which verses will fit the music.

What’s an average day like for you?

An average day starts with prayer, then communicating with the fans on all of my social media platforms, sending out music to Djs, and contacting Program Directors at different radio stations.

Is there a hidden meaning in any of your music?

My music is reality music , so there is nothing hidden. ( Just raw street reality music)

Do you collaborate with others? What is that process?

I collaborate with different producers across the world and also my group Dogg Pound Next Generation. Please discuss how you interact with and respond to fans. I interact and respond to fans thru social media and live performances.

What is your favorite part about this line of work? Your least favorite? Why?

My favorite part is making music , because music is my passion, least favorite would be dealing with folks that do not understand the ins and outs of the business. It is very important to read and study the music business that way you can have control over your material (Masters and Publishing)

Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?

Yes I have performance anxiety before every show and I have 100s of shows. I believe its normal.

Tell me about your favorite performance venues

Cains Ballroom Tulsa Oklahoma hands down. What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in yourfootsteps?

I would advise someone to be positive and get as many people to like you as possible. Someone may not like your music, but think that you are a cool person and they’ll purchase your music because of that. Also be genuine , be yourself and don’t clone your sound after anyone else, Originality always prevails and you can have longevity in the music business being original, and last always Put God first be humble and true to your fans they are the ones that buy the music
