Interview with Shorty Gu
What drew you to the music industry?
What drew me to music industry was the benefits of being successful
and also because people around me seem to encourage me to keep going. I feel like i have what it takes.
Who are you inspired by?
I'm inspired alot by the technique of how lil wayne rapped, and Gucci Mane style of rapping adding a bop to it. But mainly older
atlanta rappers like future, gorilla zoe, rocko, roscoe dash, j money, yung la, shawty lo, jeezy etc. Some of the new generation
influenced me as well to managing different waves. I love any type of music with a nice feel to it that makes me wanna play it again
and brings a feeling.
Please explain your creative process
My creative process come from writing mostly because it help me put out more than me freestyling but i do dat as well time to time.

A average day for me is me getting up trying to push and motivate myself to perfect or better my craft or anything im trying to pursue
at the moment.
Is there a hidden meaning in any of your music?
Yes, I think I am the hidden message behind it. I talk about my life experiences, demeanor, style it explains me. I feel as if I try to
motivate myself and just talk my shit.
Do you collaborate with others? What is that process?
Yes, I do collaborate with others but it be mainly people i grew up with not to many people outside maybe in the future. It depends if
we are freestyle or writing music. If we freestyle i go off vibes or how I'm feeling. If we're writing I will just let them hear some I wrote and
I hear theirs then go from there.
Please discuss how you interact with and respond to fans?
I plan on doing more interacting with fans when i get out of my situation I'm in at the moment. But Im not to interested in social media
engagement daily. I do plan on doing more entertainment for my fans.
What is your favorite part about this line of work? Your least favorite? Why?
My favorite part about it is the feeling that the music brings and creates for me and others. My least favorite is how hard it is to get people
to listen to you because of how short people attention span is these days.
