Raised in the suburbs of North Cyprus, Subaholics (Serhat Gedik) discovered very early on in his life the cult classics of Reggae, this transitioned to his later discovery and love for Jungle. Being mesmerized by those iconic sounds provided inspiration and set him on his music path.
Armed with an ear for good music, a wild imagination and natural talent, Subaholics was dedicated and determined to mix a beat he could call his own. He eventually headed up as his school’s Dj and spun the latest tracks at local parties. This set his reputation which enabled him to secure a residency at the local bar, Good Fellows.
With over a decade of experience already behind him, he is one of the most talented and respected DJ's to emerge from the Ayia Napa scene.
In the summer of 2006 under the name DJ Sega, Subaholics held his first prestigious residency at Sky Bar (Ayia Napa), Ambassaden in 2007/2008, Castle Club, Havana Bar and Club Ice in 2009 onwards. To date, he has hosted at some of the best clubs in Ayia Napa such as the infamous Club Abyss and one of the oldest renowned clubs on the island, Club Black N’ White.
2015 saw him Djing in Marbella at Club Mama and countless boat and private parties and in 2016, Subaholics was a supporting act at The Napa Rocks Festival to the likes of Skepta, Section Boys, Philip George, A.M. Sniper and more.
Under his previous alias Dj Sega, he officially remixed “Picking up the Pieces” by British singer Paloma Faith.
Fortunately for Subaholics, his reputation proceeds him, which has contributed to working alongside some of the best in the music game - notably working alongside DJ EZ, Jillionaire of Major Lazer, Ralvero, Philip George, Scottie B, Heartless Crew, Chase & Status, Inna, Dj Luck & MC Neat, Ms. Dynamite, Crazy Cousins, MasterStepz to name a few.
