What drew you to the music idustry?
To be honest, all my peers and close buds all pushed me to jump in it. They seen the potential in me before I did, due to our fun lil freestyle sessions we use to have.
Who are you inspired by?
I grew up listening to Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane, a lot! So you’ll hear a mix of them in my music as far as the sound goes.
Please explain your creative process:
No pad no pen, I hear a beat and just rap what’s on my mind. It’s all real life, so that’s what makes it easier. A lil drugs always helps, lil more turn up and confident lol. Some songs take a hour or two, some songs take maybe 30 minutes. Don’t get me wrong though, I may pull out my note pad if I really want to perfect some shit. But for the most part music is fun to me so I like to have fun making it.
What’s an average day like for you?
My life changes drastically due to my recent felony charges Im fighting, but on a regular basis I wake to a blunt or two and go with the flow. My days be filled with excitement cause of the people I’m around, majority family.
Is there a hidden meaning in any of your music?
When there’s a message in my music, it’s direct. The songs I make for my beautiful fiancé for instance, she knows I’m talking about her lol. But like I said before I like to have fun making music, and I rap real life, rather it’s me or things going on around me. If you know me, you’ll know everything I’m rapping about lol.
Do you collaborate with others? What is that process?
Hell yeah, I love making music with others. I feel like I have more featured songs than my own lol. It’s not that I like to out-rap my Collaborations, but they bring out my full potential cause I’m always tryna be better at whatever I do. I mostly like to go off of their vibe, whatever they create as far as a topic. Or I’ll just make up something I know we both can relate to. I mostly collab with my brothers, like Nardorap or Don Juan, we started together so we gone rise to the top together.
Please discuss how you interact with and respond to fans:
Fans are regular people just like me so I treat them how I would wanna be treated. I love positive feedback, that shit motivates me to the fullest. They get as much love as they show me. Negative feedback, I can’t really elaborate on that because I haven’t got any yet. But I won’t let that get to me, all feedback is good feedback if you ask me.
What is your favorite part about this line of work? Your lease favorite? Why?
My favorite part is the fun and excitement I have doing it lol, the recognition for real. Everybody wants to be recognized as a human being, it just feels great. What I don’t like, is how when you and your friends know y’all raw at this shit but don’t get the recognition deserved lol you just feel like people just hating for no reason, also how this shit cost to be recognized. Shit crazy
Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?
Hell naw. It’s like soon as I hit da stage, I just go to feeling myself as if I’m in the mirror. How I see it, as long as you having fun, the crowd gone have fun with you.
Tell me about you favorite performance venues:
I performed at a few venues, and by far The New Port Venue downtown in Columbus Ohio, that shit lit. It’s not too big, not too small; I think 500 capacity. Its dark which dims the mood, plus the stage is visible to everyone so you know you the center of attention. I love it
What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?
I say be you and have fun with it. Stay true to yourself, don’t let no one take your good energy away from ya.
