What drew you to the music industry?
Growing up I would always write songs and ,I would just put anything I was feeling into them ,rather I was in a heartbreak mood or I was mad at something. Whatever the case may have been I was writing. I never realized how much passion I had for music until Maybe around sophomore year of high school and at that point I really started to buckle down and work more and more on my writing and just start the process of making a track and learning all of that
Who are you inspired by?
I have quite a few musical inspiration’s the first one is Drake. He is the first artist that I heard from with in the hip-hop genre. I started listening to more and more
The second inspiration would be Joyner Lucas. I love how real is lyrics are and how on multiple occasions he’s used his musical abilities to start a positive conversation whether it was the “I’m not racist“ track or the “im sorry “ track..
my third inspiration would have to be Justin Bieber. He’s probably the one artist that I’ve listen to since the beginning ,honestly .. I like how he came back after going through all of the media scrutiny and re discovered himself
I have a few more but I don’t wanna get too long winded
Please explain your creative process
It honestly varies depending on how I’m feeling and what the situation is. There’s times where I will write the song before I even get the beat… Like I will just have a line in my head and I will just develop a song from that line with no beat.
Then there’s times when I’m writing to the beat
What’s an average day like for you?
The average day if I’m working would be 7 AM to four. Get off work hang out with some friends and if there’s music that I need to work on I do that later at night or I might work on the music first , then hang out with friends depending on how alive my brain is
Do you collaborate with others? What is that process?
I’m always down to collaborate with Artists.
I don’t really have a certain process on deciding, it’s more or less just kind of feeling out the song and seeing if a feature might make it feel more complete
Please discuss how you interact with and respond to fans
I mean I don’t really know how to answer this one… I just kinda like interactive them on social media whether I might like a post or just hit them up and be like hey what’s up
What is your favorite part about this line of work? Your least favorite? Why?
My favorite part is seeing the final product and seeing all of the hard work come together
My least favorite part is stressing about the numbers after the release like if the numbers are too low I start to get stressed out and stuff like that
I always want my music to be heard especially if it’s one of my songs where I have a message that is trying to speak
Tell me about your favorite performance venues
I haven’t done too many performances yet so I can’t say my favorite venue but I can say venues that I hope to perform in one day
Which would be probably have to be Madison Square Garden or staple center like I grew up watching a lot of basketball so those two would be cool
